Marlin Jackson’s Fight for Life Foundation
Established in April 2009, this fund will provide charitable funds for helping disadvantaged youth in the areas of education and wellness by teaching them how to overcome poverty and peer pressure while reinforcing positive behaviors through incentive based programming.
Jefferson Avenue Sports Field Fund
Established in 2005, this foundation's purpose is to provide funds for the development of sports fields at Jefferson Avenue within the city of Sharon, Pennsylvania.
Jones Brysh Trust Fund
This fund was established by the late Charles and Rebecca Jones Brysh to provide a charitable scholarship to one male and one female graduating Farrell High School senior student who is college-bound and participated in at least one athletic event during one scholastic year and maintained an overall grade point average of not less than 3.0 for the 10th, 11th and 12th grade years.
Jones Library at Hickory High School Matching Fund
This fund was
established in November 2007 for match qualified donations and/or funding
made to the Jones Library at Hickory High School. Qualified donations and/or
funding are those made for improvements, upkeep and maintenance of the
Library. These donations and/or funding can be received either from the
school itself or from third parties. The Fund would provide a match of three
times the amount of the donation and/or funding. (For example, if the school
funded $10,000 for the Library, the Fund would provide $30,000 in matching
funds.)
Joshua’s Haven Endowment Fund
Established in March 2010, this fund will help support the goals of Joshua’s Haven. Located in Sharon, PA, Joshua’s Haven serves as a place of shelter for homeless men in the community.
JP/5 S Family Foundation
This fund was established in December 2006 by Paul and Tina O’Brien to provide funds for worthwhile charitable causes within the community.
George & Sophia Kachulis Fund
The Thomas Kachulis Family created this fund in memory of their parents. George and Sophia Kachulis came to the Shenango Valley and started in business in 1918. Their strong family values and work ethic have contributed to the family’s prosperity, and in turn, want to share this prosperity with others.
Kerins Family Foundation
The Kerins Family Foundation was established in 2004 by Bill and Kathy Kerins in thanksgiving to God for the many blessings bestowed upon their family. The purpose of this foundation is to provide funds for general charitable causes and programs that will benefit the community and to support and promote the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Jack Kerins Golf Scholarship
Jack Kerins has had a positive influence upon this community as a husband, father, businessman and golf professional. His family and friends have decided to honor this special man on his 90th birthday by establishing scholarship funds for students who participate within the golf program at Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage, PA.
Keystone Blind Association Endowment Fund
The Keystone Blind Association improves the quality of life for persons who are blind or visually impaired by working to prevent blindness. It also provides employment opportunities and advocacy for people who are disabled. This endowment fund will allow the friends of the Keystone Blind Association to continually benefit the agency through bequests and estate planning opportunities. Kirila Family Fund
The Kirila family has always cherished hard work and appreciated a skilled workforce as a cornerstone to a community's quality of life. It is this fund's purpose to help focus on values that support economic vitality by funding vocational training and education.
Hilary T. Kley Scholarship Fund
Established in 1998 by the estate of Hilary T. Kley a lifelong resident of Hermitage, PA. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior from Hickory High School planning to attend a four-year college.
Bill Knecht Tourism Scholarship
Established in 2006, this fund will honor
the life of Bill Knecht by providing a scholarship to sophomore students of
Grove City College, Thiel and PSU-Shenango who are pursuing a
tourism-related major such as Marketing, Recreation, Hotel Management, etc.
Virginia Larimer Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in May 2006 to provide funds for a scholarship that will benefit students from the Shenango Valley region who demonstrate leadership and community involvement.
Rebecca Lee Koborie Music Scholarship Fund
The events of September 11, 2001 will reverberate throughout the 21st Century. For the Koborie family of Sharon, it will forever be remembered as the day they lost their beloved daughter, sister and friend. Rebecca Lee Koborie was a special young woman who loved music and life itself. Her family and friends have created this scholarship fund in her memory to benefit a senior from Sharon High School. |

Robin Leigh Kralevich Memorial Foundation
This fund is dedicated to the memory of Robin Leigh Kralevich, who was tragically lost in an automobile accident on October 22, 1996. At the time of her death, Robin was a bright, energetic, and caring and beautiful 26-year-old woman. Her contagious smile and simple charm enlightened every life she touched. She was a very special girl. The goal of this memorial fund is to provide a helping hand to those in our community, in both bad times and good. |

Paul Alan Krivosh Foundation
The purpose of the Paul Alan Krivosh Foundation is to recognize, support and promote those Christian values that Paul consistently demonstrated during his short time on this earth. Paul had many roles in his life including husband, father, son, brother; firefighter, coach and friend. In each of these roles, Paul lived out the values of kindness, honesty, responsibility, hard work, effort, and persistence, among others. He touched and taught others in some very visible and other more subtle ways. Through the people, organizations and efforts that this foundation will recognize, support and promote, it is hoped that the values that Paul held and lived will continue to influence the world in positive ways.
To this end, this foundation will first recognize one student a year that exemplifies, giving, caring for others, altruism, and kindness. Other funds may, at the discretion of the Board of Trustees, can be used to fund activities and/or projects at the North Sharon Little League Field, Sharon School District and/or the Sharon Firefighting Department.
Kulusich-Buzzeo Music Education Scholarship Fund
This award is in honor of Philip Kulusich and Janet Kulusich Buzzeo, two music educators at Hickory High School and Eugene C. Buzzeo. The purpose of the Fund is to provide a financial assistance to a deserving music education student from Hickory High School who participated in music ensembles for all four years and also participated in every music program for one full year.
Jim and Mary Jo Landino Family Foundation
Established in May 2010, this fund seeks to provide aid for general charitable causes in the community as well as scholarships for local students.
Jacob Lewis Memorial Fund
The family and friends of six-year old Jacob Lewis established this fund. The fund’s goal is to offer financial assistance to children with a serious illnesses. While Jacob was in the hospital, he was always so concerned about the other sick children, always looking for a way to make them feel better. He colored pictures to adorn their drab hospital rooms, he shopped at the hospital gift shop, and he gave wagon rides through the corridors of Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. He could not understand why he couldn’t help a little girl waiting years for a liver transplant. He really wanted to give her his.
Paul A. Listopad Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund, which was established in November 2008, will provide scholarship funds for graduating high school seniors from the Shenango Valley attending a college or
university choosing mathematics education as his or her major course of study. Criteria for the scholarship includes that applicants achieve a GPA of 2.5 or higher and not have a family household income greater than $50,000. |

Ty Longley Memorial Fund
While performing as guitarist for Great White, Ty, along with 99 others, perished in the tragic Rhode Island nightclub fire. His love for music and art will be memorialized through this fund, which was set up by his family and friends. |

Jerry Lustig Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 1998. Mr. Lustig, a long-time resident of Hermitage, had been a supporter of Hickory High School athletics for many years. His son and daughter were enrolled at Hickory in the 1960’s. An annual scholarship is presented to deserving college bound senior athlete each spring.
